About it
You walked in the door, and before you could do anything, somebody told you to go say hi to your tía. Then to everybody else, one at a time. This is an activity book for everybody who grew up Mexican-American, and the kids and grandkids who grew up hearing about it. Ten sections: the first house, her kitchen, Sunday in the backyard and the goodbye that took forty-five minutes, the words nobody translated, the bakery tray and the tongs, the fall, the tamalada, Easter at the park, the rented hall and the music that was always on.
